Kids can turn paper plates into adorable play purses and Easter baskets with this easy Spring-time craft.
As you can probably guess, I spend a lot of time gathering ideas and planning the crafts that the hooligans make here in my daycare.
But you know what? Sometimes it’s the kids who come up with the very best ideas of all. They often think of projects that I’d have never thought up on my own. I love it when that happens.
These paper plate purses and Easter baskets are a perfect example.
As we were gathering supplies for a big day of crafting the other day, one of the hooligans spotted the stack of paper plates, and asked if she could make an easter basket.
I hadn’t planned for the kids to make Easter baskets that day, but that didn’t matter. I said, “Sure, why not?”.
The other kids thought it sounded like a great idea, and wanted to do the same, but instead of Easter baskets, some decided to design and make their own purses.
“Go for it!”, I said, and so they did.
The results were terrific!
