I moved recently and wanted to break in my new kitchen with a simple coffee cake. It was not only easy, but surprisingly moist and delicious. This recipe, and it’s Variants, will become a staple.

In reply to Elena. You could try it, but I can't guarantee you'll get the same results. Baking is a science, so any time you change ingredients, you take a chance that the end result won't be quite the same.

In reply to Nicole. I've never tried, Nicole. There might be too much batter for a regular pan, but you can try. I believe baking times are different for the two pans too. You'd want to look that up.

After I read all the ingredients I thought where is the coffee lol. Looks yummy and easy to do. Will give it a try. I am on a diet so it might have to wait as I can’t sit there and watch everyone eating it and saying how yummy it is.

Tasted this at the Hooligans this week and it was very yummy indeed! Might try it as well with Nico soon (once the heat wave is gone and we can use the oven without baking ourselves in the process as well, lol)
