The vibrant colours and falling leaves in our yard have inspired me to make this terrific leaf-matching activity for toddlers and preschoolers.

It's great for teaching kids how to match colours, patterns, shapes and sizes. It will also strengthen fine-motor skills and co-ordination.

It's super-easy easy to make too! I've even included a free leaf-shape printable in case you need it.

Here's a fantastic colour activity that toddlers can do solo or in a group.

It's a rainbow scavenger hunt that you can do in your play room or classroom.

It will help kids learn colours, colour order, and it's a whole lot of fun because they'll turn their treasures into a beautiful rainbow.

City Skyline Silhouette Art Project for Kids

Squeee! I'm so excited to share our latest art project with you!

If you're looking for a cool art project to do with your kids at home, or with your students in art class you'll love this one.

When you see it, it may even take you back to your own childhood. may take you back to your own childhood, but we've put a modern day spin on it.

Using just three supplies: coloured water, paper towel and black paper, the hooligans, ages 4 through 10 made this city skyline silhouette art recently, and the results were beautiful!

It's particularly fun because of the drip-art technique we used to make the backdrops.

And not only are the results beautiful, there's lots of fine-motor development going on with this art activity too!

Easy Tie-Dyed Heart Sun Catchers for Kids to Make

Hey, Lovelies! I think you're going to LOVE what we have for you today!

If you're tired of looking out at a bleak, grey landscape, you have to make these vibrant tie-dyed sun catchers.

Ok, we didn't REALLY tie-dye them. We just used one of our favourite easy art techniques to make it look like they're tie-dyed.

It's a super-simple process, and kids of all ages will love it. I had kids ages 4-10 making these with me, and they were all crazy for the project.

What a way to brighten up a window at this time of year!

Not only will the explore colour matching and rainbow order, they'll strengthen their fine motor skills too!

Bonus: All you'll need is a paper plate and a small supply of tissue paper, which likely already have on hand.

Oh, lovelies! I have the most beautiful science activity to share with you today! This one calls for just 3 common kitchen ingredients, and little ones find it just fascinating! There's lots of bubbling and fizzing and colourful eruptions for your little ones to oooh and ahhh over, and it will keep them entertained for a good long time too! There's fine motor development, and an opportunity to talk about colour mixing and chemical reactions, and best of all it's super-quick and easy to set up!
