Hello, my Lovely! We've had a nice long break, and we're back at it!

I wanted to share our latest "Learn To Sew" activity with you today. So fun!!

It's easy enough that preschoolers can have a go, but my older kids really loved it too.

Not only are they great for toddlers and preschoolers, you can use them as a teaching tool for older kids too. And hello... they're so easy to make.

My gang has shown a keen interest in sewing lately, so I used these homemade lacing cards to teach them 4 basic sewing stitches.

Happy New Year, Lovelies!

If you have a new baby to buy for this year, you have to check out my step-by-step tutorial for these AWESOME giant, reversible receiving blankets!

They're huge, and they're double-sided so they're super-cushy and warm.

Great for the crib, stroller or playpen, and wonderful for wrapping a baby in after the bath.

They're so large, I used mine until my youngest was 2 or 3 years old.

Best baby-shower gift ever.

And they're so easy to make. If you can sew a straight line, you can totally handle this project!

Paper Plate Yarn Weaving Activity for Kids

Here's a cute and easy project that doubles as a Valentines craft and a beginner sewing or weaving project for kids!

Weaving is a terrific way to strengthen fine motor skills and co-ordination too! Trust me, even my big kid was challenged by this one a wee bit.

The nice thing about it is it doesn't matter how the kids do it, it's going to look great, making it a super project for all ages.

We jazzed our finished project up with a bit of paint, and they look just darling! Wouldn't you agree?

How to Make the Best Baby Bibs from Old Jeans and Tee Shirts

BEST. BIBS. EVER. And they won't cost you a penny.

Seriously!

I don't use anything else in my daycare.

I made these out of our old jeans and tee shirts almost 10 years ago, and look at them. ..

They're gorgeous! Not a mark on them, and as durable and perfect as the day I made them.

Actually.... they're even better because you know how it is with jeans and tee-shirts.... they get better and better with age.

Best of all, this sewing project is SO easy, you'll be able to make these bibs as long as you can sew a straight line!
