Shimmery “Christmas Balls” with Tinfoil and Sharpies

Good morning, Lovely! It's Day 14 of our 21-Day Christmas Craft Blitz!

Today's craft is easy, easy, easy, and it's fun for all ages of kids.

Grab some aluminum foil and some Sharpies so the kids can make these these vibrant, iridescent "Christmas balls" to hang on the Christmas tree.

TIP: If you don't have CD's, cut circles out of cardboard!

Lots of sensory fun here with the slick feeling of Sharpies on foil, and scrunching and crunching the foil.

They're colourful, they're festive, and they're going to look terrific lining our Christmas dinner table. Your kids can make these to be the centerpiece on the kids' Christmas table as well.

I love that they look so yummy but they aren't going to harm any teeth or spoil any appetites. AND, you can make them with any old odds and ends that you have in your craft room!

Toilet Roll Nativity Set that Kids Can Play With

Make a toilet roll nativity set for your kids to play with!

Years ago, when my daycare kids always wanted to touch and play with my good nativity set, I made this kid-friendly nativity set out of toilet rolls, fabric scraps and a glue gun.

What a hit!

They loved it so much, I ended up making an 8-piece set for each of them, and guess what. They still have them. They still play with them, and they're still in great shape.

It was a joy to make these sets, and the children cherish them. Not to mention, they provide hours of entertainment and imaginative play during the Christmas season!

Ok, I have a super-fun craft idea to share today! We had so much fun with this one, and when I say "we", I mean me too because I'm a sucker for this kind of thing, and couldn't resist making one for myself.

This kept the kids busy for the better part of the morning the other day. They LOVED it! It's fun for all ages, but a really great craft if you have older kids who can be a bit harder to please at the craft table.

My gang ranged in age from 6-12 on this day, and they all LOVED it!

They adored the decorating process. Seriously. They would've decorated cardboard tubes ALL afternoon if I'd let them. The dollar store tape you see here is the secret to what made that prcoess such a hit!

I don't use anything else in my daycare.

I made these out of our old jeans and tee shirts almost 10 years ago, and look at them. ..

They're gorgeous! Not a mark on them, and as durable and perfect as the day I made them.

Actually.... they're even better because you know how it is with jeans and tee-shirts.... they get better and better with age.

Best of all, this sewing project is SO easy, you'll be able to make these bibs as long as you can sew a straight line!
