Hey, JJ. Go Dad! You rock! I really do need to make a french braiding board, but in the meantime, here’s one that might help. Just remember that when you’re french braiding, it’s like regular braiding but every time you go to cross a chunk of hair over, you pick up another bit of hair to go with it: http://hairdohow2.blogspot.com/2011/04/lesson-44-french-braid-part-basic.html

I’m a Dad trying to learn and want something to practice on that has more patience than my 7yo test subject! 😉

They just put it on the ground in front of them, or on their laps. It’s not like you really “pull and twist” enough to move the board around. Even the youngest, who was just learning didn’t have any problems with the cardboard shifting around.

Do they put it between their legs? put something heavy on it? Seems like it needs to be stationary so as they pull and twist, it stays still…
