Hi. It’s Ellie here again. My little nephew loved the activity this summer. He liked the pictures I made and he made some pictures himself. He then enjoyed seeing the water fade in the sun. It was great fun and kept him entertained for a long time. I’m sure he will have fond memories of the activity for years to come. 🙂

Do you think children (aged 4-5) will like to make ‘water pictures’ on the fence of things like faces, people, trees, animals and houses? I will definitely give it a go and might join in with them. We could have painting competitions with no mess!

One of my favorite activities as a child was finding small soft stones (probably sedimentary rock of some sort) that were left behind in an area behind a neighbor’s house, where a downspout would wash all of the smaller sand and dirt away. We’d take these stones and tirelessly rub them together to make a dust and then add water to the dust to make paint. Then we’d paint the slate slabs next to our house with the paint we made. I loved it!
