If you have older kids (7+ and up) crafting for St. Patrick's Day, you'll want to check out our easy but beautiful rainbow yarn wall hanging.

It's gorgeous!!

There's cutting, measuring and tying involved, but it's super-simple. The only supplies you need are a stick, some yarn and a few cotton makeup pads or cotton balls.

It makes me smile every time it catches my eye. What a cool way to add a happy pop of colour to a bedroom, playroom or classroom.

With St. Patrick's Day not too far off, I wanted to share a super-easy shamrock art activity that all ages will enjoy.

It uses the classic "symmetry painting" technique. Young children will be fascinated with it, but older kids will love it as well.

Remember to keep this one in mind when you're decorating your classroom or playroom for St. Patrick's Day!

Paper Plate Rainbow Mandala

This rainbow mandala craft was fun for exploring colour and colour order with the hooligans. Creating circle after circle of colour with tiny squares of tissue paper was calming and provided an opportunity for the preschoolers to strengthen their fine motor skills. And those puffy white clouds suspended below our mandala look delightful, don't they? I hope you'll make one with your hooligans! Have a look!

Tissue Paper and Paper Plate Rainbow Craft for Preschoolers
