If your older kids are looking for something cool to do after school this week, this is super!

My hooligans love weaving, and recently, we tried paper plate bowl weaving. All you need is a paper plate and some yarn to make a colourful woven bowl to store trinkets and treasures in.

The process is a bit addictive, so they might want to make a bunch!

It's a great way to keep them entertained and learning and a super way to use up some yarn scraps!

Oh my goodness. Ok. This little sunflower craft is so easy it's crazy, but look at how CUTE it is!

The items we used for the centre of the flower added texture and interest and were really fun for little hands to explore. The aroma was lovely too, which made this easy fall craft a bit of a sensory experience as well.

And of course, the painting and cutting was all great for fine motor and co-ordination, and look! We have a beautiful little sunflower to display in our home this fall!

WooHOO! I am SO excited about today's post!

You know how we've been working on an A-Z paper plate craft collection for the past year and a half?

Well, we're finished! It's done! And it's AWESOME if I do say so myself!

The hooligans and I had a blast brainstorming and creating, and we came up with one or more easy, inexpensive and adorable paper plate crafts for every letter of the alphabet. Yep, even the challenging letters!

Here's a cute and easy project that doubles as a Valentines craft and a beginner sewing or weaving project for kids!

Weaving is a terrific way to strengthen fine motor skills and co-ordination too! Trust me, even my big kid was challenged by this one a wee bit.

The nice thing about it is it doesn't matter how the kids do it, it's going to look great, making it a super project for all ages.

We jazzed our finished project up with a bit of paint, and they look just darling! Wouldn't you agree?

Paper Plate Ice Cream Craft – “I” is for Ice Cream!

I am SO excited to share this AH-MAZ-ING paper plate craft with you. Excited for a couple of reasons: firstly, we've been trying to think of a "Letter I" paper plate craft here for over a year, and we just couldn't come up with anything good. Finally, the 6 and 7 year old thought of THIS ONE. The second reason I'm so excited about it is because it looks SO freaking awesome, and was so totally fun to make! We all took part in the process, and we were practically giddy as it all came together. It resembled ice cream so closely that we wanted to eat it! The colours and flavours, the chocolate chips, the syrup and the sprinkles... ALL made out of basic craft supplies! If you're looking for a Letter "I" craft to do with your kids, THIS is the one!
