Because we were short on time, I spray-painted the coffee filters red prior to class, which worked wonderfully. The kids loved crumpling the flowers and glued them to construction paper, adding stems and leaves with pipe cleaners or markers. They wrote thank you for your service and drew flowers, bees, grass to embellish as they desired. Our veterans were surprised and felt honored during our service. Thanks for a creative and easy project!
