Wow I think that is a awesome idea cause my grandbabies don’t care for water but if I put some color to it they may drink it. I don’t want to put the Koolaid packs and things in the water because of the sugar.

In reply to Jeanne. I would suggest less food colouring Jeanne. My guys didn't have any staining. It's strange because if you'd put the food colouring in icing or some other food, I wonder if their lips would've been so stained. How many drops did you use? Alternatively, you could freeze different colours of juice. Then there would be some nutritional value as well.

This is such a cute idea but when we did it yesterday my kids mouths were all stained blue or purple and still are today. It’s a good thing my husband and I didn’t try any or we would have looked hilarious today. Any tips to avoid this?

You can use regular food colouring drops, Brie, but if you want to know the gels that I’m talking about they’re
Wilton Icing Gels. If you scroll down the home page of my blog, almost to the bottom (just a little bit under the pic of the Icicle Ornaments in the side bar), you’ll see a section called MY FAVES. The icing gels are listed there. You can click on them, and be taken to Amazon.com to see the details about the gels.
