Hi Jackie: I just want to say your website is very creative and full of wonderful ideas. As an Aunt this type of site comes in handy as I’m always trying to come up with creative birthday gifts ideas for my 2 young nieces. As they both get older I find toys come and go but a good craft project they can do “”NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE””. Something wasn’t done right, Judy because we’ve made the glitter slime about a dozen times now, and it’s worked every time. Did you use ELMER’S glue? I’ve had people use other brands and it doesn’t work with other brands. Did you use Contact CLEANING solution with Boric Acid in it? Saline solution does not work. Solutions that do not contain Boric acid do not work. I can’t think of any reason that your slime wouldn’t have worked unless you used a different brand of glue or lens solution that didn’t contain boric acid. I’m sorry that something went wrong with your recipe.

I enjoy your craft ideas, so thanks!! I just made GLITTER SLIME with my 3 1/2 year old grandson – what a huge disappointment and waste of money! I followed your instructions exactly but all 3 colours turned out too hard – not slimy at all. It all went in the garbage, along with the $30 worth of ingredients. My grandson was very disappointed.

In reply to Cara. We did try it with one other brand of school glue, and it didn't work at all. It also didn't work with Elmer's purple disappearing glue or with their eco-friendly glue, so I think I'd stick with one of the three brands that worked well for us in the post.

Hi, does this slime work with any other glue as we cant get the Elmer’s Gel here in New Zealand without if being very expensive? I would really love to try this with the pre-schoolers that I look after during the day.

I absolutely adore the colors in your unicorn slime! I know just what I’m doing with my daughter this week. Good thing she tucked a few bottles of Elmer’s glitter glue in our shopping cart this week when we were school shopping. LOL.
